When asked why the nickname “sailor”?

I got the nickname from a shop owner based off my flash drawings that resembled the work of “sailor Jerry” and my potty mouth.  There was actually 3 Jeremys in that shop and I wasn’t gonna be “number 2”. I was away at a convention and our apprentice sat in my station and copied all my roses as if it was flash out of a street shop. (It was) I came back to a tag on my wall that said “tattoos by sailor Jeremy”… the shit just stuck. Nowadays it’s also common to have a nickname in the “art world”.  I never served but I appreciate those who have.
